GemThane Products are polymer-based and chemically-curing, yet are deceptively paint-like and easy to use. This combination makes them very suitable for "Mission Critical" maintenance coatings of many kinds.

In most cases, the polymer backbone is polyurethane, epoxy or acrylic. To make them suitable for specific end users, many of these products incorporate proprietary technology modifications. For example, NanoShield™ is a purified form of ceramic nano-spheres that is undetectable in the finished product, yet dramatically improves impact and abrasion resistance. Another unique technology is MicroSpear™, a permanent anti-microbial modification that prevents microbial induced corrosion, and in addition, is non leaching and lasts for the life of the coating. Where not already part of the specific formula, NanoShield and MicroSpear can be ordered as optional enhancements with many GemThane products.

• Choice of catalysts for many of our coatings, so you can select cure times for quicker return to service and/or greater ease of application in cold or hot environments.
• “No Blast” user friendly GemBond Surface Conditioner that significantly minimizes the time and cost of surface preparation while achieving outstanding adhesion, especially on difficult to coat galvanized substrates.
